Artist's Comments

Taken a few months ago, only getting around to posting it now, which shall hopefully mark the return from my long absence on DA.
From the same roll of film (still!) as my other city shots. I know the angle and everything is overdone, but still ... I can't help but to like it, it's my first one ever ... :p

Waterfront Center, downtown Vancouver. Focal length 28mm, circular polarizer, 100 ISO Kodak slide film.

Not much else to say about this one ...
Enjoy!

Hey cool. It looks geat. I love the shadow on the building. It makes it look that much taller. The sun hitting it after makes it look like it's actually part of the sky coming downward to the earth. Looks amazing.

okay I like the angle. how the lines seem to just disapear. Loving the blue, esspecially reflected off the glass. The white clouds really stand out against the contrast of the blue and give a nice splash background for the building.

NYU! Lovely picture, hun! I really hope you will keep taking photos, please don't give up on yourself! We'll all be sad if you do... :tears: :sniff:
Anyhow, I love the angle, as you know. This is one of my favorite shots of yours. The colours are gorgeous, too! It is just an awesome shot! Well done! :D

Well this is a great example of your work, you can almost feel vertigo! The colouration is easy on the eyes, and its easy to get lost in the image (I know because I think I just looked at it for 5 minutes then thought "right! gotta comment!") The angle is so precise that it can create the optical illusion that could lead you to believe that it is thousands of feet in the air...
As far as the advanced stuff goes, I did notice a little dark spot in the upper right, it may have been your finger shadowing the lens a little, but still awsome, and now accessible on my page via fave pile

Thanks you very much! ^^
I just happened to be there at the right time of day, it had been cloudy for the rest of the day, but the sky just happened to clear up right before I got to the building. Nature can be so nice sometimes ... XD :B

Glad you like it, and I appreciate the detailed critique! Thanks!

Eh heh ... They will be up soon ... as soon as I get more than one day off at a time ... there's just never enough time for me to work on stuff like that at the moment ...
But they will be up eventually, not to worry! :D
