Through a broken window
Casting shadows across
Memory’s long cold hearth
Where fires once burned
Now cold ashes lie
Fragments of a shattered life
A life one rich
And full of hope
Now colors are no longer there

this one actually took a little thought... the rhyme scheme seems a little ragged, but poetry really isn't my main interest.
